Association of trading robot members DNA Pro today went to Commission VI DPR RI to hold a public hearing (RDPU). They asked for help to encourage the government to oversee the refund of members.
One of the victims of the investment in the DNA Pro trading robot, Suwarni as a massage therapist, couldn’t hold back tears when he asked for help so that the funds could be returned. All of his savings are said to be gone because they have been invested in DNA Pro.
“I sincerely request that my money from the massage can be returned. The money in my savings is no longer there, sir, I put everything in the DNA. I beg you very much, sir,” said Suwarni to Commission VI DPR RI, Wednesday (25/5/2022).
Suwarni explained that his daily condition was difficult where he only worked alone to meet the school needs of his children and husband who had a stroke. Finally, he was introduced to DNA Pro from a customer and has been a member since July 2021.
“During COVID-19, I was unemployed, there was no order call, while I still had schoolchildren and my husband had a stroke. Since I was recognized by DNA, I entered this DNA with the aim of earning an income,” she said while sobbing.
Suwarni admitted that she felt helped when she joined DNA Pro where every day she could earn from the profits she made. She bought the money for medicine for her husband and school children’s needs.
“For the next 2 years, I don’t have a massage call (because of the pandemic), I don’t have any other work besides massage. My DNA has been helped a lot, my economy is starting to improve with me getting profit from DNA,” he added.
To note, DNA Pro is a trading robot with an MLM system that has been sealed by the government since January 2022. Since then, the government has been said to have let go of the fate of the victims.
The attorney for DNA Pro victims who are members of the Paguyuban, Yasmin Muntaz said that this made the victims unable to withdraw (WD) or retrieve their investment funds. The statement of CoFTRA and the Investment Alert Task Force (SWI) are said to be inconsistent.
“CoFTRA stated that it had not blocked accounts or closed WD’s faucet, while SWI in a TV program stated that ‘we are closing WD’. So there was an asynchronous statement,” said Yasmin on the same occasion.
In addition, it is said that there is a contradiction between CoFTRA and the Ministry of Trade where CoFTRA states that trading robots is illegal. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Trade provides legality in the form of issuing a direct selling business license (SIUPL) which is actually already owned by DNA Pro.
“The majority of trading robots include DNA Pro have a SIUPL issued by the Director General of Domestic Trade of the Ministry of Trade through the Director of Business Development and Company Registration. So CoFTRA has declared that it is illegal and MLM is not allowed, while the Director General of Domestic Trade at the Ministry of Trade issues SIUPL and that means giving legality and granting MLM permits,” he said.
