While hanging out in a cafe, a tourist was brutally murdered

A Swiss tourist on holiday in Algeria. Two men attacked him while they were sitting on the terrace of the cafe.

Reporting from Daily Mail On Wednesday (23/10/2024), the unidentified female tourist was hanging out at the Snaker Cafe, in the city centre, with four travel companions.

Suddenly, two men came to the woman and stabbed her neck with a sharp weapon.

The tourist was immediately taken to the local hospital as he had lost a lot of blood. Unfortunately, doctors could not save him because he was badly injured. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The police chased the two men and managed to arrest them. The perpetrator came from the northern region of Algeria. They will be the Tuareg, a nomadic ethnic group that lives in the Sahara and beyond.

“For now, everything is kept completely under wraps. Nothing comes out, not even on social media. On the ground, the slogans don’t tell. everyone surrenders,” said a source close to the matter.

Four friends of the victim have left Algeria and returned to their homes.

The Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that they were informed of the tragic death of a Swiss citizen on October 11 in south-eastern Algeria.

The ministry explained that they had taken the group of four with him, who were evacuated to Switzerland, saying that no additional information would be given.
