Top two associations in seasonal UEFA ranking will be able to field one more representative in the 2024/25 Champions League.

In the main round Champions League 2024/25 4 more clubs will take part (36) than previously (32).
There will be no division into groups in the Champions League. The opponents in each of the 8 rounds will be determined by drawing lots according to the Swiss system. There will be one table for all 36 teams. The top 8 teams will advance to the 1/8 finals, while the clubs ranked 9th to 24th will play in the 1/16 finals.
4 additional trips The 2024/25 Champions League will be distributed as follows:
- for the 3rd team of the association with a rating of 5 (already guaranteed to France)
- additional place for selection through the Champions Path (there will be 5 qualifiers, not 4)
- one team each from the two countries that earned the best rating in the 2023/24 season
UEFA coefficient for countries it is calculated as follows: the number of points scored (2 for a win, 1 for a draw, plus bonuses, qualifying rounds count as 50%) are divided by the number of teams from the country that started in the Euroseason.
Ahead in the season ranking: Germany (12,642), England (11,750), Italy (11,714), Spain (11,437). The top two countries will receive an additional spot in the 2024/25 Champions League.
Ukraine in the UEFA season rankings it ranks 25th (3.500). In the spring, only one Ukrainian club will continue to compete in European competitions – Shakhtar Donetsk. Zarya Lugansk will say goodbye to the Conference League in a week.
