El National Meteorological Service (SMN) of Mexico has issued a forecast for October 14, 2024, which contemplates the possibility of frost and precipitation. The interaction of low pressure channels located in the northwest, west and center of the country, together with humidity from the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, is expected to give rise to rains and showers accompanied by electric shocks and intense winds. In particular, occasional rains of considerable intensity are anticipated in the state of Guerrero.

A low pressure center located south of Guerrero and Michoacán will increase the probability of precipitation in these regions. Tropical wave 26 will move over the Yucatan Peninsula, interacting with a low pressure channel in the Gulf of Mexico, which will lead to intense rains on the peninsula and heavy to very heavy rainfall in the east and southeast of the country. Likewise, frost is expected in various mountainous areas of several states, including Chihuahua, Durango and the State of Mexico, among others.
On October 14, 2024, hot weather is expected in Sonora, with temperatures between 40 and 45 °C, and maximums of 35 to 40 °C in Baja California, Baja California Sur and Sinaloa. In the Valley of Mexico, a cold to cool environment is anticipated, with frost in elevated areas and fog banks. In the afternoon, mild weather is expected, with partially cloudy skies and a probability of rain, including showers in CDMX and Edomex, with possible electrical shocks. The minimum temperatures in CDMX will range between 8 and 10 °C, and the maximum temperatures between 22 and 24 °C; In Toluca, minimums of 4 to 6 °C and maximums of 21 to 23 °C are forecast.

Minimum temperatures of between 0 and 5 degrees Celsius are anticipated in the mountainous areas of several states of Mexico, including Coahuila, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, and others.
