On Friday evening, Prime Minister Jean Castex announced the closure of non-food shopping centers of more than 20,000 m2. In Côte d’Or, at least two supermarkets are concerned.

Which shopping centers will close on Sunday?
The question is on everyone’s lips as the sales are in full swing.
The precise list has not yet been published but Prime Minister Jean Castex announced that “non-food shopping centers over 20,000m2” should close because they are important places of mixing.
As in October 2020, during the second confinement, two shopping malls in Côte d’Or are definitely concerned: the Toison d’Or in Dijon (estimated area of 78,000m2) and the Grand Quetigny gallery (47 300m2).

Waiting for the decree
Two businesses await the implementing decree to find out if they will have to close their doors.
Indeed, the shopping mall The Southern Doors of Chenôve has a total area of 23,000m2 including the hypermarket. What surface will be taken into account?
Ikea in Dijon is also waiting. Its commercial area is smaller than that of the building, estimated at 23,000m2.
As of this Sunday, non-food shopping centers with a surface area of over 20,000 square meters, which most favor the mixing of populations, will be closed. pic.twitter.com/Laxt0VGK4a
