Lyon, Villeurbanne, Vénissieux, Corbas, Givors, Saint-Priest … The inhabitants of all the cities of Greater Lyon will have to respect a curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Saturday.
Like Ile-de-France and seven other French metropolises, the metropolis of Lyon will be affected from Saturday and for at least four weeks by a curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. A measure that concerns of course Lyon but also the 58 other municipalities of Greater Lyon, from Quincieux, in the north, to Givors, in the south.
From 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., the movements of the 1.4 million inhabitants of the metropolis will therefore be limited to what is strictly necessary.
However, exceptions to the curfew will be possible, in particular for health or professional reasons. It will also be possible to take a train or plane leaving or arriving after 9 p.m. Another possible exception: seeing a loved one in a situation of dependency or even taking out their pet near their home.
In other cases, fines of 135 euros may be issued to residents of the metropolis who violate the curfew on Saturday and for at least four weeks.
An incidence rate of 400 in Greater Lyon
On Wednesday evening, the bar of 500 hospitalized Covid patients was crossed in the Rhône, with 518 patients admitted to hospital. Among them, 97 are taken care of in the intensive care units. In the metropolis of Lyon, the incidence rate of the virus stands at 400 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants, against 353 in the Rhône department.
