Which messenger will prevail in the long term? (School, health and medicine, leisure)

Many people no longer want to be on Whatsapp (because of data protection, etc.).

Now there are a number of alternatives (Signal, Telegram, Threema, SMS, Email, etc.) and everyone has something different at the moment. It’s frustrating!

Will we come back to the point in the future when there is a messenger that has a monopoly position? And what do you think, which horse should you bet on? Or is it possible that WhatsApp will stay at the top and the other intelligence services will disappear again?
