In their latest video, our colleagues from CarWow face three of the most popular German brands – BMW, Mercedes and Audi in a short race at a distance of 402 meters, acceleration of 80 km / h and brake test. The three cars are quite different from each other, but they also have a lot in common.
For example, the BMW is the latest and has a 3.0-liter in-line six with two turbines and 510 horsepower in the Competition version. They are transmitted only to the rear wheels of the particular specimen, and the automatic transmission takes care of changing gears.
Under the hood of the Audi is a 2.9-liter V6 with 450 horsepower and 600 Newton meters, which drives the four wheels through an automatic transmission with eight gears.
The oldest representative of the particular race is the Mercedes in one of the rarest configurations C63 AMG Black Series. It is powered by an atmospheric 6.2-liter eight, which drives only the rear tires and provides 517 horsepower. Here, the transmission is also automatic with seven gears and a dual clutch.
