Which films are shown at the Metzinger Open-Air Cinema – Neckar + Erms – Reutlinger General-Anzeiger

METZENBERG. This year, Metzingen Marketing and Tourism GmbH (MMT) is once again inviting people to the open-air cinema together with the Forum 22 cinema and cultural center (Bad Urach) – this year for the last time on the grounds of the Metzingen construction yard. Tickets for all three films can be reserved online. There is a separate direct booking link for each film.

The organizers of the MMT are confident that all three evenings will be sold out again this year. For spontaneous cinema-goers, there is still a small, limited contingent of seats available at the box office. The free choice of seats for all seat categories proved successful last year, so this year there will only be one seat category for 10 euros (reduced 8 euros) – regardless of whether the seat is covered or not.

Probably sold out again

The Metzingen Ski Club will once again be providing food and drink. There will be grilled red wine, cheese slices and waffles for vegetarians, and chilled drinks for everyone. A summery, sparkling cocktail will also be on offer. The Metzingen Cinema and Culture Association will be providing popcorn and sweets.

There are three films from different genres running again. It starts on Thursday, September 5th with “Back to Black”. Hardly any music fan could ignore the death of British singer Amy Winehouse on July 23rd, 2011. Her surprising end was the final turning point in an extremely successful music career that was also marked by private problems, alcohol and drug addiction and was followed by great media interest. In her biopic “Back to Black”, Sam Taylor-Johnson tells the life story of Amy Winehouse with a clear focus on the artist’s private life.

The French film “The Simple Things” will be shown on Friday, September 6th. Nobody has a schedule as full as Vincent Delcourt. So it’s inconvenient when the chic convertible suddenly breaks down on a country road. Before he knows it, the tech champion is stuck in the middle of the mountains. Vincent is rescued by Pierre. The taciturn loner, who lives a self-sufficient life on a farm in front of a dreamy mountain backdrop, picks up Vincent on his motorbike and has to play host for the next few hours in a rather grumpy manner.

Two films from France

The comedy “Love Letters from Nice” also comes from France and is shown on Saturday, September 7th. When François comes across a few old love letters in the attic, the retired officer is shocked. The verbose outpourings about his wife Annie’s “vibrating mons pubis” definitely did not come from him. He doesn’t care that the letters are 40 years old and are of museum value at best. Polyamory in his house? Unthinkable! Francois demands revenge, mobilizes his connections with the secret service and tracks down the Casanova of yesteryear on the Riviera. Confident of victory, he travels to sunny Nice with Annie.

Admission is from 7.30 p.m. (free seating), the films start at around 8.30 p.m. (eg)
