Restrictions in several departments
In Occitania, several prefectures have already announced restrictions at service stations to avoid shortages. This is the case in the Gard where 27% of service stations are in difficulty. 20% suffer from a total shortage of their fuel stock. Faced with this, the prefecture took the decision to extend the volume limits to 200 liters for vehicles transporting goods over 12 tonnes.
Furthermore, the filling of jerricans or other manually transportable containers is prohibited. The Gard prefecture has also established a list of service stations which are required to provide fuel for the supply of services and personnel of priority professions. The prefect appeals to “civility and everyone’s responsibility to meet everyone’s needs”.
