After the speech by the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron on Monday, July 12, announcing the upcoming extension of the health pass, the vaccine will become an almost essential prerequisite for daily activities. From August, the health pass (full vaccine, negative PCR test or proof of recovery from Covid-19) will be mandatory to go to restaurants, the cinema or even in shopping centers.
The opportunity to take stock of the progress of vaccination in Hauts-de-France.
Fourth region with the most people vaccinated
Vaccination is well underway in the region. As of July 12, 3,155,087 people have already received at least one dose, 2,438,403 are fully vaccinated. This places Hauts-de-France in fourth place among the regions with the largest number of people vaccinated behind Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Île-de-France.
Reported to the population, the figures are a little less encouraging, even if they remain positive. 52.9% of the inhabitants of Hauts-de-France have received at least one dose (10th region). They are 40.9% to be fully vaccinated (7th region).
More vaccinations in Nord-Pas-de-Calais than in Picardy
In detail, the Nord department is the one where people have vaccinated the most in the region. There are thus 1,387,481 first-time vaccinated and 1,077,565 fully vaccinated people (2nd department at national level, behind Île-de-France). Then follow Pas-de-Calais (796,958 first-vaccinated and 627,103 fully vaccinated), Oise (395,219 first-vaccinated and 300,734 fully vaccinated) and Somme (312,267 first-vaccinated and 232,721 fully vaccinated) ). With 263,162 people having received at least one dose and 200,280 fully vaccinated, the Aisne is at the back of the pack.
Figures to be put into perspective in relation to the population. While the Oise was particularly affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, it is the department with the lowest vaccination coverage in the region (47.9% of the population received at least one dose, 36, 4% is fully vaccinated). On the other hand, Pas-de-Calais with 54.9% of first-time vaccines and 41.6% of complete vaccinations, is the department with the most important vaccination coverage in the region.
Next comes the North (53.6% of first-time vaccinees and 41.6% of fully vaccinated people), then the Somme, which is ahead of the North in terms of people having received at least one dose of vaccine (54.8%) but which only has 40.8% of people with a full vaccination. Finally in Aisne, 50% of the population has received at least one dose of vaccine. 38.1% are fully vaccinated.
