Mexico at the 2024 Olympic Games

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador kicked off this Wednesday, July 31, with a congratulation and asked to applaud the Mexican judoka Prisca Guadalupe Awiti who won a silver medal for Mexico.

Our recognition to Prisca for the silver medal. A round of applause. There are others coming, we are going to do well.

He made the same recognition on Monday, July 29, at his press conference with a congratulation to the Mexicans Alejandra Valencia, Ana Paula Vázquez and Ángela Ruiz, for their bronze medal in archery.

We are very pleased that Mexico has won an Olympic medal. The bronze medal in archery. Three women.

Mexico caressed one more medal

British diver Tom Daley won a silver medal in the 10-metre synchronised platform event at Paris 2024 on Monday, with China triumphing and Mexicans Kevin Berlin and Randal Willars finishing fourth.

The Mexican duo improved in the competition, encouraged by the chants of ‘Vamos México’, the most heard among the 5,000 fans at the Paris Aquatic Centre, but they were unable to give Mexico a second bronze after the one they won on Sunday in archery.

The diving team, which has brought Mexico the most Olympic medals, has other important assets to take the podium in Paris-2024.

Among them are the young Osmar Olvera, champion of the 1-meter springboard at the Doha World Championships in February, and the duo made up of Alejandra Orozco and Gabriela Agúndez, who won bronze in the women’s synchronized 10-meter platform.
