Movistar and Dazn share the broadcasting rights of the main Spanish club competition for the next five years

The 2022-23 football season will kick off in mid-August with the return of the best competitions: LaLiga, Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1… Later it will do so with the Champions League and the rest of European competitions (Europa League and Conference League) and in November the unusual break will come for the World Cup in Qatar.
Looking ahead to this new campaign, changes the way in which the Spanish viewer will be able to watch football on televisiongiven that the previous TV rights contract, which was valid for three years, has ended with the closure of the 2021-22 season.
Movistar and Dazn
During the next five courses, Movistar and Dazn will share the TV rights of LaLiga in the First Division, after winning the auction held last December, for a total amount of 1,994 million euros.
Subsequently, Movistar and Dazn reached an economic agreement that guarantees the Telefónica platform to continue broadcasting all LaLiga matches, the 380 that will be played. At the moment, the most affordable fiber and mobile package to watch LaLiga on Movistar costs €69.90 per month for four months and 94.90 from the fifth month.

Orange
At the moment, Movistar is the only platform that will offer all football next season, although it is possible that Orange will also end up reaching an agreement with Telefónica to be able to offer all competitions to its clients.
Orange has already reached an agreement to integrate Dazn on its televisionwhich includes all your sports competitions (Formula 1, MotoGP, Euroleague, Premier League…), in addition to the games that Dazn itself acquired and that will also market the OTT on its own, although it has not yet configured its final offer to the consumer.
Dazn will broadcast five days of 35 of the 38 days of LaLiga. The remaining three were kept exclusively by Movistar. Those 175 matches include one of the two classicswhich Real Madrid and Barcelona will play at the Santiago Bernabéu on the weekend of October 16, corresponding to matchday nine of LaLiga.
The offer that currently appears on the Orange website, in which it claims to offer “all football” (although it only has those five games per day acquired by Dazn), in addition to fiber and mobile, is from €71.25 per month for four months and €95 thereafterwith a minimum stay on the platform of 12 months.

Furthermore, as usual, Goal Television will broadcast one match per day openwith the limitation that it will never be one in which a club immersed in European competitions participates, nor will Valencia.
Regarding the Copa del Rey, there is still no news, since its tender by the RFEF is still pending. Until now, Dazn (via OTT) and Mediaset (open) shared the rights broadcast of the KO competition.
