A ranking of the best schools in the country is prepared every year. The 2019 ranking was recently launched, where you can already know which are the best (and worst schools) and a set of indicators related to them. As is normal, private schools continue to achieve better results than public ones.
See the ranking of 1870 schools, 629 of which are secondary schools (11th and 12th) and 1241 of elementary schools (9th grade).
PÚBLICO in partnership with Católica Porto Business School provides a set of data on primary and secondary schools. According to the information, for the 9th grade, the school with the highest score is the Externato Escravas Sacred Heart of Jesus (a private institution). In the TOP 20 there is only one public school, the Artistic School of Music at the National Conservatory.
At the secondary level, the best positioned school is the Colégio Nossa Senhora do Rosário with an average of 15.47. The first public school appears only in the 38th position and is the Infanta D. Maria Secondary School.
