where to get vaccinated in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté?

The High Authority for Health (HAS) recommends that people most exposed to the Monkeypox virus get vaccinated. Since Monday July 11, two centers have been open in Besançon and Dijon.

Faced with the rise in cases of monkey pox (Monkeypox) and the difficulties in tracing the chains of contamination, the French government has decided to offer vaccination to the groups most exposed to the virus, as defined by the High Authority for Health : “men who have sex with men (MSM represent a significant proportion, but not exclusiveof the cases currently recorded) and trans people who have multiple partners, people in a situation of prostitution, professionals working in places of sexual consumption“. It can be considered on a case-by-case basis for professionals who have to take care of sick people.

Two centers have been set up in our region since July 11, 2022:

  • Franc-Comtoise Social Hygiene Association
15 Avenue Denfert Rochereau in Besançon
    Make an appointment on 03 81 65 44 50
  • CHU Dijon
10 Boulevard Marshal de Lattre de Tassigny has Dijon
    Make an appointment on 03 80 28 14 63

The vaccination schedule consists of two doses, spaced 28 days apart. This schedule can be reduced to one dose for people who have already been vaccinated against smallpox. Two types of vaccines are available and interchangeable.

The virus Monkeypox is transmitted by contact of the skin or mucous membranes with the injured skin of an infected person (pimples or scabs) and by droplets (saliva, sneezing, sputters, etc.). A person is considered to be at risk of exposure when there has been direct unprotected physical contact (with damaged skin) or unprotected contact within 2 meters and for a cumulative 3 hours over a 24-hour period.

Public Health France recalls, “that at this stage, the cases reported in Europe are mainly benignand there are no reported deaths.” Vaccination does not exempt you from respecting hygiene measures. and day-to-day prevention.
