Tier scooters are among the most popular electric scooters on German roads. The number of cities where the e-scooters are available is constantly growing. Numerous new cities have recently been added. But where exactly can the animal scooters be found? We tell.

E-scooters appeared in Germany in June 2019 and have been taking bike lanes by storm ever since. However, this applies more to larger cities and not every electric scooter is available in every city. This also applies to one of the more popular providers: Tier Mobility. We tell you where you can use animal scooters.

Animal Scooters: Everything you need to know

Tier’s Android app has over five million downloads and a 4.2-star rating. Accordingly, the provider is quite popular. This is also due to the quick and uncomplicated registration, which according to the manufacturer can be completed in less than two minutes. All you need is the animal app, a phone number (to sign up, just like WhatsApp), and a credit card. Once the data is entered into the Tier application, you’re good to go. However, you must be of legal age to take advantage of the offer.

How to find an electric scooter near you

Now you have already registered and are ready to go, but what happens next? After all, you now only have an app on your smartphone and no electric scooter under your feet. The solution is extremely simple: All available animal scooters are displayed on a map in the application. All you have to do is find a scooter near you, walk to it and then activate it using the “Start Ride” button (on your smartphone). And off you go at up to 20 km/h. The only exception is if there are no e-scooters in your area. Tier e-scooters can be found in a comparatively large number of cities, but not in all.

Animal Scooters: Where are they available?

Even in the cities below, Tier e-scooters cannot be used everywhere. You may only use the e-scooters within the permitted tier business area, which is outlined in gray on the map. On the other hand, gray shaded areas are no man’s land that cannot be crossed.
