The fuel crisis in France and Occitania is not over yet. In the departments of Haute-Garonne, Hérault, Gard, Lozère, Aude, Pyrénées-Orientales, Hautes-Pyrénées, Ariège, Gers, Lot, Tarn-et-Garonne, Tarn and Aveyron, gas stations are facing a lack of supply coupled with a sharp increase in demand.

Nearly a third of petrol stations are in trouble. This rate rises to 41.6% in Ile-De-France and 42.8% in the Center-Val-de-Loire, according to government data.
Renewed strike
The murmurs at the Esso-ExxonMobil refineries are over. But it will take at least two weeks for the facilities to return to normal operation.
On Monday, October 17, TotalEnergies renewed the strikes on three refineries (out of seven) and five large deposits (out of about 200) of TotalEnergies, reported to AFP Eric Sellini, coordinator of the CGT group.
The CGT refused to sign the agreement concluded on the night between Thursday and Friday between TotalEnergies management and two majority unions, the CFDT and the CFE-CGC. It provides for an overall “envelope” of wage increases of 7%, of which 5% for blue-collar workers and technicians and 3.5% for managers, plus an individual quota that can vary according to the subjects. To this is added a bonus of one month, with a floor of 3,000 euros and a ceiling of 6,000 euros.
The CGT claims 10%, corresponding to “inflation plus sharing” of the profits made by the oil company (5.8 billion euros in the second quarter).
“The management (…) does not seem ready to return to the negotiating table”, Sadini regretted Monday, whose union intends to continue the movement until Tuesday, a day of mobilization and inter-professional strike in which he also called FO, Solidari and FSU.
