That’s why Ajay Srivastava, a Delhi lawyer, said, ‘I want to defeat Dawood. Therefore, wherever his case is, I will be there. Recently, a Delhi lawyer is in the headlines after the auction of four properties of India’s most wanted terrorist Dawood Ibrahim. Ajay Srivastava has bought a very small piece of land from Dawood for Rs 2 crore. Whereas its reserve price was only Rs 15,000.

According to a report by ‘NDTV’, explaining the reason for such a high bid, Srivastava said, ‘I have bought all the surrounding land. Only this small piece of land was left, so I had to bid for it in a way that no one else would. However, this is not the first time that he has bought any property related to Dawood Ibrahim. He has been doing this for many years. In 2001, he first read about the auction of two properties of a hidden underworld don in Karachi. Ajay Srivastava said, ‘In 2001, I read in the newspaper that Dawood’s lands were being auctioned. But people were not coming forward to bid, I understood that people were scared.

This lawyer had bought two shops of Dawood in Nagpada, Mumbai. Then he was the only bidder. He is still fighting to take over the shops. Whereas a Mumbai court had ruled in his favor in 2011. This order was challenged in the Bombay High Court and the case is being fought by the children of Dawood’s sister Haseena Parkar. He said that ‘I felt that I should come forward against a terrorist and soon after, more people started coming forward.’ He said he received threats after purchasing the property. The lawyer said, ‘After this I got Z+ security for 11 years.’

His passion to defeat Dawood was such that even a call from the underworld don’s lawyer could not deter him. I refused because my aim is not to make money. Ajay Srivastava had also bought Dawood’s ancestral house in 2020.
