Brace for a December Blast: Winter Weather to Grip Italy

December arrived with a shiver, and meteorologists warn the worst is yet to come. Italy is bracing for a frigid blast, bringing a mix of rain, snow, and plummeting temperatures, especially over the weekend of December 7th and 8th.

"The temperature will drop," experts at meteogiuliacci.it predict.

Snowfall is expected to blanket much of the Alpine region above 500-800 meters on Saturday. The Northern Apennines are also expected to see snow at elevations exceeding 1000 meters.

Sunday’s forecast brings even more snow, with flakes expected in the Alps down to hilly elevations. The Central and Northern Apennines could see snowfall as low as 600-1000 meters.

This winter weather pattern could disrupt travel plans and outdoor activities throughout the weekend. Drivers are advised to exercise caution, especially those traveling through mountainous regions.

This story is still developing. Stay tuned for further updates as the weather system progresses.
