The Czechs want to go to the sea. Most summer holidays were sold by domestic travel agencies to Greece. Croatia is second in the sales rankings and Italy is three, both countries mostly with their own transport.

“With the turnover of tour sales, travel agencies in the Czech Republic are approaching in 2019. Compared to last season, all destinations, including Portugal, especially Madeira, which used to be among the more luxurious, ie more expensive destinations in Europe, are experiencing a growing trend,” says Kateřina Chaloupková , Executive Director of the Association of Czech Travel Agencies.
–
Over a million Czechs go to the Adriatic every year, so in the overall numbers the first position is clearly defended by Croatia. Especially since many people find accommodation on their own, without a travel agency. And in private apartments, hotels and camps.

“Overall, we can say that the Czechs are very conservative and choose proven destinations,” says Kateřina Chaloupková on behalf of travel agencies. The United Arab Emirates has become a jumper in recent years, currently in tenth place. “The Czechs liked them mainly because during the covid pandemic and various restrictions, it was a very welcoming and open country for tourists,” she explained.

The offices praise this year’s seasonal sales. What has changed compared to pre-ancestral times is the smaller selection of last-minute tours. According to the association, there will be no dramatic last minute deals this year.
–
“With regard to high sales and contracted capacities, the last minute offer will be very limited, rather less sought-after accommodation facilities will remain on offer,” Kateřina Chaloupková told SZ Byznys.

According to the association, most European countries have relaxed their entry requirements, so people are traveling as before the pandemic. On the contrary, it is necessary to prove proof of infectivity, for example, when traveling to France, Tunisia or Egypt.
