The final season of “Magnum PI” is finally making its way to Germany. The reboot series ended in the USA in January, and now we can say goodbye to the Hawaiian private investigator on VOX in this country. We take a look at where we actually know the actors from and where they will be moving on to after the end of the series.

He stayed with the series until the finale in 1996. Numerous guest appearances and film roles later, he was seen in 1999 for a storyline in “JAG”. In 2006, he took on the role that another generation of series junkies got to know him under: that of the main character Henry Spencer – father of the character at the center of the series, Shawn Spencer – in “Psych”. In 2002, he played his way into the hearts of series junkies with the role of Thomas “Herc” Hauk in the cult series “The Wire”. After a short stop at “Entourage” and several guest appearances, including in “24”, he was seen in a leading role in the series “Breakout Kings” in 2011. Shortly thereafter, he had a recurring role as Al Capone’s older brother, Ralph, in the series “Boardwalk Empire”. In 2015, a place in the regular cast of the series “Rosewood” followed. Attentive series junkies might also remember his appearances in “Ray Donovan” and “Power”. Series junkies will know him as Richard Wright in “Sex and the City” (2001 to 2004) and as Harry Morgan, father of the title character in the series Dexter (2006 to 2013). In 2013 he also made an appearance in “Grey’s Anatomy”, and in 2016 he was seen in “The Shannara Chronicles”. Until 2021 he was also in the superhero series “Black Lightning”. Recently, however, he appeared as a guest in the successful series “Yellowstone” and “The Rookie”. What happens next in “Magnum PI” season 5?
In the season opener entitled “The Passenger” aka “The New Guy” (5×01), Magnum and Higgins (Perdita Weeks) weigh up the risk of getting involved in a relationship after the passionate kiss between the two in the fourth season finale. At the same time, Rick (Zachary Knighton) tries to juggle his role as a new father and the La Mariana, while Katsumoto (Kang Team) thinks about his next move… New to the cast of season 5 is Michael Rady as Detective Chris Childs.
