I want to denounce a pathetic situation concerning me. I suffer from environmental hypersensitivity, a disease recognized around the world, even in Canada, but not in Quebec. People who suffer from it are recognized and treated with respect and dignity, to the point where perfumes and chemicals are banned in hospitals. While in Quebec, they are treated as mentally ill, often in total indignity.
The symptoms are similar to those of the allergy with which 230,000 people in Quebec are affected, excluding those who suffer from it and ignore it. This disease causes us to react to odors (soaps, perfumes, creams), chemicals (beauty, cleaning, pesticides), certain foods, dyes, dyes, magnetic waves, plastic and everything else. which contains it (wax, lacquer, glasses, shoes, fabrics), including sheets, clothes, etc.
Unable to eat for a long time and no longer able to dress or put on my shoes, I went to the emergency room a few times because I was starving. It was on one of these occasions that a psychiatrist, who did not believe that this disease existed, had a diagnosis of “delirium” entered in my file.
Everyone bought this on the spot and I was treated accordingly. They refused to let me leave the hospital. When I kindly declined the offer to put on their jacket, I was forced to do so. But at the sight of the symptoms that it caused in me, especially due to the soap with which it had been washed (terrible spasms and contortions on my part), it was deduced that I was delirious and I was tied up like a wild beast, identified as dangerous to its life, and with suicidal thoughts. Which was completely wrong.
I filed a complaint against the hospital. She was rejected. I submitted another to the Québec Ombudsman, where I was told that what had been done to me was in accordance with the rules of the art. I appealed to the then Minister of Health, Ms. McCann, the Minister of Seniors, Ms. Blais, the DPJ, provincial and federal human rights, the two “prime ministers” Legault and Trudeau, the College of Physicians, as well as the Nurses Union, since it all went back to a nurse with malicious intent towards me.
All these beautiful people who, in front of the cameras, loudly proclaim their determination to denounce the injustices and the mistreatment of which the citizens are victims, remained unmoved, deaf, blind and silent to my requests. We preferred to bless the decisions of my executioners, because they were more numerous and supposedly recognized as professionals, while I was alone and completely naked, therefore without credibility.
It is not just neighbors and families who turn a blind eye to abuse, and it is not just locals who are being manhandled in hospitals. There are also those “without power” like me, when they have the misfortune of running into some “without genius” who work there.

Your adventure is incredible at the same time as it is pathetic. Hopefully the publication of your letter this morning will trigger some reaction. As far as I am concerned, since you want above all to resolve your environmental sensitivity problem and since I sincerely believe in its existence, I am suggesting an avenue that we do not seem to have suggested to you.
It seems that hypnosis can relieve this kind of symptom, and over time, completely eliminate it. I am not talking here of show hypnosis, but of therapeutic hypnosis, provided by specialists trained for this purpose. To avoid having to deal with some charlatan, I advise you to contact the Association des psychologues du Québec, which certainly maintains a directory of its members who practice this discipline. Good luck !
