Serbian Novak Djokovic he could be the special guest of the next Internazionali d’Italia, even if he is not vaccinated against Coronavirus. The possibility is far from remote, as confirmed by the undersecretary for sport Valentina Vezzali: “As far as outdoor tennis is concerned – said the former fencer – there is no reinforced Green pass, so if Djokovic wants to come and play at the Internazionali in Rome, he can do it”. In recent days, the Serbian said he was willing to do not participate at Roland Garros and Wimbledon in order not to give in to the anti Covid vaccination: “If this is the price to pay for having the freedom to choose what to put in my body,” he told the BBC.
Djokovic could therefore arrive in Italy from 2 to 15 May, when the Internationals are scheduled. Then the state of emergency should be terminated, due to expire on March 31st. However, it is not excluded that the organization of the tournament may still require the possession of the Super Green pass, difficult to obtain for the tennis player without a vaccine, given that – according to what was declared to the Australian authorities – he would be healed in December 2021, therefore in May he would not fall within the maximum 120 days that would allow him to obtain the green certificate. However, it is difficult to understand where the tennis player can stay and eat, given that at least for hotels and restaurants the reinforced Green pass should still remain mandatory.
