Whenever a vote of no confidence is brought, it will still be too late – 2024-09-21 11:56:56

/ world today news/ “Whenever a vote of no confidence is brought, it will still be too late. The reason for this vote against the government was the situation of choosing a candidate for the head of the UN and the change at the last moment. Besides, people live badly.” This was stated by the former leader of the BSP, Mihail Mikov, commenting on the vote of no confidence prepared by his party for the government of Boyko Borisov.

“I think that a vote of no confidence in the government is legitimately demanded”, Mikov is categorical. According to him, this way will define the political forces and their attitude towards the government, because “defining them as opposition is not enough”.

According to Mikov, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov’s attacks on the leadership of the BSP are a “letting out of nerves”.

“Instead of sitting down with the opposition and seeing what to do, it is said that the opposition is black-minded and to blame for everything,” Mikov added.

“The reason for this vote of no confidence was related to the situation for the election of the Secretary General of the United Nations and this idiotic position of Bulgaria with the change of candidates. Gradually, other topics appeared, because it can be seen that under this government, people live badly”, said Mikov.

On the occasion of the failed broad left coalition, Mikov said that the BSP had gone astray. “I regret that the process of disunity on the left continues. I have no illusions that it is possible to solve the problems with one negotiation and one election”, Mikov is categorical.

He emphasized that for the first time in a presidential election there are so many left-wing candidates, but that of former Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski is not one of them. “He was elected in his capacity as an expert as Prime Minister, he was proposed with the clear stipulation that he is an expert and not a BSP politician,” added Mihail Mikov.

The former chairman of the BSP again emphasized the negative position of the party towards the issues of the national referendum, which will be held together with the presidential elections.
