When Yatra left Kerala, everything was the same; AICC also against the Sudhakaran-Satheesan rift

Thiruvananthapuram ∙ The national leadership is on the scene with severe criticism against the Congress state leadership. AICC’s entry into the scene with severe criticism comes amid strong rift between KPCC president K. Sudhakaran and opposition leader V. D. Satheesan. The national leadership pointed out that the party leadership in the state is on two floors. The national leadership also suggested that the organizational weaknesses should be resolved ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

In the KPCC meeting, AICC general secretary K.C. Venugopal, who is in charge of organization, criticized the state leadership in harsh language.

AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal also criticized the failure of the state leadership to maintain the enthusiasm of Rahul Gandhi’s nationwide Bharat Jodo Yatra. The thrill of passing the trip was no more. After completing the tour of Kerala and moving on to the next state, everything was forgotten. Venugopal also pointed out that the activity has become old.

He said that the rift between Sudhakaran and Satheesan is affecting the party badly. Sudhakaran and Satheesan took opposite stances, including on the tax boycott, which was in the news. The national leadership pointed out that it is not a good sign to hide the infighting in the party at the best time Congress has had in Kerala in the last three decades.

Earlier, reports surfaced that a group of MPs from Kerala visited Venugopal demanding the removal of K. Sudhakaran from the post of KPCC president. Although the demand for Sudhakaran’s removal is rising from many quarters, the national leadership is taking the stand that Sudhakaran should continue. Meanwhile, there is criticism against the inconsistencies in the state leadership.
