Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is convinced that the war launched by Russia against his homeland may be completed by the end of the yearbut under certain conditions.
In an interview with Portuguese television channel RTP, the head of state said that “it is difficult to talk” about the date of the end of the war, but it could happen in the coming months. It all depends on several factorsincluding from the success of the Ukrainian forces’ counteroffensive.
Zelensky stressed that the events on the front line will be decisive for the adoption of the relevant political decision.
The Ukrainian president also emphasized that the invitation of our country to NATO can “bring the end of the war closer.” The Ukrainian president believes that Ukraine will become part of the North Atlantic Alliance only after the end of the war, but he may still receive an invitation earlier.
