Executive Committee Member PSSI Hasani Abdulgani gave a response about when Mees Hilgers and Ragnar Oratmangoen can be costumed Indonesian National team.
According to Hasani, the chances of both players defending the Red and White Team depend on the period of the documents provided.
One thing is for sure Exco PSSI, Hilgers and Oratmangoen will not be able to play in the AFF U-23 Cup which will take place in February.
The process of Hilgers and Oratmangoen having Indonesian citizenship is too close to the U-23 AFF Cup tournament. In addition, Oratmangoen’s age is no longer in the category of the event.
“It’s too tight, sir,” Hasani told CNNIndonesia.com, Wednesday (5/1) when asked about Hilgers’ chances of appearing in the U-23 AFF Cup.

Regarding the opportunity for Hilgers and Oratmangoen to appear at the 2022 SEA Games, 2022 Asian Games, and 2023 Asian Cup Qualifications, Exco PSSI also cannot provide guarantees.
The 2022 SEA Games will be held on May 12-23 in Vietnam, the 2022 Asian Games will be held on September 10-25 in Hangzhou, China, and the 2023 Asian Cup Qualifiers will be June 8-14. The biggest opportunity for Hilgers and Oratmangoen is to play for the Indonesian national team in the 2022 AFF Cup from November 21 to December 18.
“We will try as soon as we know the completeness of the supporting documents,” said Hasani.
“If you haven’t seen the documents, it’s hard to predict when [bisa main di Timnas Indonesia], said Hasani added.
According to Hasani, PSSI did not give a deadline to Mees Hilgers and also Ragnar Oratmangoen.
“There is no deadline. The agent will immediately take care of it. Hopefully their supporting documents are complete,” said Hasani.
Apart from Mees Hilgers and Ragnar Oratmangoen, PSSI will also immediately process citizenships for Sandy Walsh and Jordi Amat.
