When will AI features be on your iPhone

JAKARTA – Apple has announced that its latest artificial intelligence feature, Apple Intelligence, will soon be available to the public. The feature is expected to launch in late October 2024, along with updates for iOS 18.1, AppleOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1.

Before this launch, Apple will release the major version of its latest operating system in mid-September, which includes iOS 18, AppleOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. This version will bring a variety of new features, but Apple Intelligence is not included in the initial update.

Based on Apple’s previous software update release pattern, it’s very likely that iOS 18.1 will be released in late October, with a date that could be October 23 or 24, or even Monday, October 28. This follows Apple’s tradition of rarely releasing major updates on Friday.

When Apple Intelligence launches, users will have access to several advanced AI features, including an update to Siri that brings a new subset of AI capabilities, writing tools that include proof reading and rewriting, and memory movie creation in the Photos app.

Other features include smart replies in the Messaging and Email apps, smart summaries for notifications, and webpage summaries in Safari. Additionally, there will be prioritized messages in Mail and natural language searches in photos.

However, not all devices that support iOS 18.1, iOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 will get Apple Intelligence. The feature will be available for high-processing devices, such as the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, iPads with M1 chips or newer, and Macs with M1 chips or newer. It is hoped that all iPhone 16 models will also support Apple Intelligence.

Although the initial launch of Apple Intelligence in late October will only include some features, Apple plans to continue updating and improving these AI features periodically. With the launch approaching, many users are eagerly waiting for this feature to appear on their devices. Are you ready to feel Apple’s AI innovation?
