When vaccination certificates can be launched in Ukraine

Head of the Ministry of Health Maxim Stepanov said that vaccination certificates against coronavirus could be launched in Ukraine until July 1, 2021. They will contain data on vaccinations, negative PCR tests, or recovery from COVID-19.

Such a statement is the head MOZ made during the internal presentation of the document, reported on website ministries. It is noted that the purpose of “vaccination passports” is the free and safe movement of citizens during a pandemic.

“I think that we need to launch this within the country as soon as possible, if not in June, then so that from July 1 it will be fully operational with us,” Stepanov said.

The certificate is developed in accordance with the requirements of the Digital Green Certificate The European Commission и Smart Vaccination Certificate TRAIN… The data will be included in the document through the electronic health care system, and the certificate can be obtained at the doctor, in the application or on the portal Action.

Fully vaccinated against COVID-19, Ukrainians, upon request, will be able to receive a paper International Certificate of Vaccination, which is now valid, prior to the introduction of certificates.

Stepanov noted that “vaccination passports” will provide their owners certain advantages. Thus, they want to encourage Ukrainians to be tested for coronavirus at the first symptoms and not to self-medicate.

“There are a large number of people about whom we do not know whether they were sick with COVID-19 or not. If they had a mild form of the disease, they stayed at home, did not go to the doctor and did not do tests. If there is an internal certificate that will give appropriate advantages in the presence of the tests done – this will be as an additional incentive not to self-medicate, “the minister added.

We remind that earlier it became known that Ukraine is preparing to introduce the so-called vaccination passports, confirmatory coronavirus vaccinations for travel abroad.

This was discussed during a conference call, which took place on May 5 under the chairmanship of the head of state. Vladimir Zelensky.
