The social network Twitter announced that it had “inadvertently” limited the possibility of putting likes on President Donald Trump’s tweets marked as “disputed”, before canceling this action.

Twitter users were unable to like on Saturday, December 12, several Donald Trump publications devoted to the presidential election in the United States and blocked “inadvertently”, announced the company Twitter Inc.
“We have inadvertently taken steps to limit likes on tweets tagged […]. This action has been canceled, ”said Twitter quoted by the Reuters news agency.
It was impossible to like, share or reply to the tweets in question for at least an hour. Users who tried to do so saw the message: “We are trying to prevent a tweet like this that violates Twitter’s rules from reaching more people, so we have disabled most means of responding to it.”
Contested tweets from Trump
According to Twitter, the issue has affected messages where Mr Trump says he won the vote and the poll results were tampered with.
Donald Trump had previously published several tweets criticizing the decision of the United States Supreme Court to reject Texas’ petition to quash presidential results in four states. Twitter then informed its users that the contents of three tweets from this user were “controversial”.
