When Transjakarta tries to publish “Green Bond” on the London Stock Exchange…

KOMPAS.com – PT Transport Jakarta (Transjakarta) is exploring the issuance of environmentally friendly debt securities or green bond di London Stock Exchange.

This effort is carried out as a form of support to the government in achieving the target Net Zero Emission.

This is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, one of which is contributed by the transportation industry.

“Jakarta wants to contribute to reducing gas emissions and coincidentally global bond it seems one of them is available on the London Stock Exchange,” he told Kompas.comFriday (13/5/2022).

That is why Transjakarta wants to implement the use of electric bus throughout his fleet as a form green transportation.

30 electric buses are already operating

Currently, PT Tansjakarta has collaborated with PT Mayasari Bakti to operate electric buses in Jakarta.

“It has operated around 30 (electric) buses. It was only inaugurated by Governor Anies Baswedan about a few months ago,” he said again.

Iwan hopes that later the number of electric bus fleets can increase in number every year, and is targeted to reach 100 units.

The addition of electric buses makes PT Transjakarta need to work with investors to support the electric bus procurement program.
