The government intends to regulate the purchase Perthalite via MyPertamina. It is expected to come into effect in 2022, the policy hasn’t worked out so far.
State Enterprise Minister (BUMN) Erick Thohir said his party was still awaiting the revision of Presidential Regulation No. drink RON 90 BBM.
“In Pertamina there is a payment system Cash there is that not in cash. Which not in cash let’s fix it, folks waiting Perpres 191 is under discussion by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources,” he said on Tuesday (3/1/2023) at Pertamina MT Haryono gas station, South Jakarta.
When asked when the revised rules are related Perthalite was published, Erick asked to be patient. He called the current dynamics fluctuating.
“Yes, wait, be patient do not rush. The dynamics go up and down,” he said.
He said this policy aims to deliver subsidized fuel to the target. Don’t let people buy subsidized fuel.
“So that fuel is right on target. Not being able to buy government assisted fuel. Imagine being able to buy diesel fuel with (subsidized) government help for Rp. 6,500. These things get fixed,” he said .
Erick also stressed that the subsidized fuel is not for industry. Solar for example, a priority for public transport.
“Does industry have the right to use government-assisted fuel? No. We use it for public transport,” he explained.
If it has been implemented, he believes people will get used to it. He gave an example of the implementation of PeduliLindungi which was carried out by the government.
“In the past, we talked about Caring for everyone who didn’t like it, as if they were being watched. But now Caring for Protect is proven to help. How can we spread COVID-19 the fastest, apart from the boosters”, he concluded.
