In the courtroom, the prosecutor expressed doubts about the status High Priest which is worn Habib Rizieq Shihab, defendant the swab case at the Bogor Ummi Hospital. Indonesian Council of Ulama (MULTI-FUNCTION) until it responds.
Monday (14/6) yesterday, the East Jakarta District Court held a hearing to read the response (replic) to the plea that Rizieq had previously delivered. Rizieq has been charged with causing trouble related to the spread of the swab test hoax at the Ummi Hospital and sentenced to six years in prison.
The prosecutor said that Rizieq often said unhealthy and emotional words. Prosecutors also considered that Rizieq was carelessly making accusations through a plea at the trial on June 10.
“It is customary to lie, evil maneuvers, insistence, stubbornness of which demons enter, very evil and disturbing, as in the plea. Ignorance and stupidity, and falsehood against the rules are used as tools of the oligarchy as in the plea,” said the prosecutor.
Prosecutors considered unethical sentences inappropriate for religious figures to pronounce. But, he heard Rizieq holds the title of high priest. This is where the prosecutor judged the title to be a lie.
“Sentences like these were uttered by the defendant and should not have been said that claimed he had good morals, but the defendant easily used harsh words as above. Even though the defendant’s status as a teacher, who was an elder, a figure, and knowledgeable was what was being touted as The high priest is just a figment,” said the prosecutor.
