Bad luck for passengers on a Lufthansa flight who wanted to travel from Frankfurt Airport to Bangkok in mid-March. The prompt return followed shortly after the start.
Frankfurt am Main/Bangkok (Thailand) – A queasy feeling went through the crew of one Lufthansa flightwho was about to of Frankfurt am Main to jet off to the warm, summery Bangkok (Thailand) when a detail that couldn’t be ignored caught my eye. Ultimately, the pilot had no choice but to initiate the immediate return flight for the safety of his colleagues and passengers.

But what happened?
According to the official flight schedule of the Kranich airline, the A340-300 aircraft should take off on Monday, March 14, at 10:08 p.m. from Germany’s largest commercial airport in the direction of Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Once again Aviation Herald reported that this happened from runway 18 as planned. But just a few moments after take-off, the realization came that ultimately led to the Lufthansa pilot’s serious decision.

Because of a corresponding display, the crew noticed that a door had opened in the cargo area of the Airbus and that it remained open during the climb.
According to some commentators under the report on the flight incident portal, it was quite possible to maneuver the plane to its destination. The pilot of the Lufthansa flight finally decided against it – probably mainly for the benefit of colleagues and passengers. Before that, however, he had to drive the airship further up in order to release kerosene there in preparation for the forthcoming return to Frankfurt.
When this standard procedure was successfully completed, he finally steered the plane safely back towards the Hessian Main metropolis and brought it to a standstill again on runway 07C, around two hours after take-off at the starting point of the journey.

Despite inquiries, the country’s largest airline itself did not give a concrete statement on the cause of the open cargo area door or on the incident itself.
