In Nancy, there is the Saint-Nicolas parade. But another big parade is to be followed near Thionville since 2015. It is that of Christmas. Last year, it dazzled thousands of spectators. Arrival from Belgium, the caravan only stayed a few hours before resuming the road, direction Calais.

Two hundred extras and a few dancers and musicians were part of this 2019 edition. Polar bears, elves, reindeer, wooden toys and small soldiers were prepared behind the scenes. There were as many costumes as there were characters. New: two floats with choirs that performed traditional Christmas carols like “He was born the Divine Child”. Four animated tableaux completed the show.

But at the helm, there are no associative volunteers, as can be found elsewhere, especially for carnival parades … Here, there are only professionals from the entertainment world and amusement parks. All of them have only one goal: to bring happiness to people.
