Wamenparekraf Angela Tanoesoedibjo was unconscious when attending the launching of the cultural attraction of the Surakarta Palace warriors in front of the Kori Kamandungan Palace, Solo, Saturday (6/11) afternoon. Before she fainted, Angela, who at that time was between the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Pengageng Parentah of the Solo Palace, KGPH Dipokusumo, looked unsteady.
The woman who was wearing a brown batik blouse combined with black trousers looked staggered. Until the end, Angela was unable to maintain his balance and fell in the middle of the press conference.
Luckily, his body didn’t fall to the floor. Gusti Dipo who was on his left side swiftly grabbed his staggered body. Thus, the Wamemparekraf’s body could be saved and not hit directly on the floor of the Kamandungan Kori.
Mayor of Solo Gibran Rakabuming Raka who was on his right had also been trying to grab Angela’s body which was already looking unsteady. However, because the distance was too far, Gibran’s hand did not reach Angela.
Because Angela’s body staggered and fell to the left while Gibran was on his right. The Solo Police Chief, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, was also seen running to secure Angela so that her head would not hit the floor. Next, Angela, who was unconscious, was appointed by the event committee and staff.
After receiving treatment, about 10 minutes later Angela regained consciousness and was able to walk. He was seen getting into the car and rushing to leave the location.
Deputy Development Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), Riski Handayani, said that the Wamenparekraf might be tired because of the hectic activities he attended.
“He seems tired, we were also from the Atsiri House in Karanganyar. But it was also fine,” he told reporters after the incident, Saturday (6/11/2021).
Risky added, lately Angela has been quite busy with various activities that she must attend.
“Currently, he is very busy, his schedule is also very busy from yesterday. He is also monitoring all activities at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy related to government support and assistance,” he explained.
