When Raffaella Carrà asked Signora Febbronia: Can I call you Titti?

The three days of tributes to Raffaella Carrà is over, but the Saturday night episode of Techetecheté continues to pay its tribute to the great artist who died at the age of 78, on July 5, 2021 in Rome. In an episode of “Buonasera Raffaella”, the evening version of the noon program “Hello, Raffaella?” calls Mrs. Febbronia, a very rare name, generally used in Sicily only in the provinces of Catania and Messina. Raffaella Carrà’s reaction to the lady’s name was laughable.

Fever? Can I call you Tweety?

In the usual round of Techetecheté memories, one in particular has bounced to the top of the trends on Twitter. The moment Raffaella answers and on the other side of the phone is Mrs. Febbronia. At the bottom of the piece there is the video segment embedded by Twitter and here textual, the whole exchange: truly irresistible!

“Hello, who am I talking to?”
“With Mrs. Febbronia”
“The Lady?”
“Fever”
“And the name?”
“Yup”
“Your name…”
“Eh, Fever!”
“Ah, Petronia…”
“No, no, with the f like Ferrara …”
“Fetronia”
“No, Fever, like fever”
“Fever … oh my, you put me in crisis … listen, can I call you Tweety?”
