Employees are asked to stay at home at least four days out of five in order to limit the spread of Covid-19. The rule is not always respected, however. The France 2 teams followed the labor inspectors during control operations in the Hauts-de-Seine.

The France Télévisions teams are following, for the 8 p.m. news on Thursday, March 25, an unexpected check in a company in La Défense (Hauts-de-Seine), on respect for teleworking. The HRD must explain the presence of three employees in a service of eight people. “The instructions are that when people come back, they don’t all come back simultaneously, otherwise it is useless“, indicates the latter to Jean-Noël Ponzevera, labor inspector.”The rules are changing, there are many, so we do our best“, comments an employee. As teleworking remains widely applied, the company will be entitled to positive comments.
A control then takes place in a consulting firm, which declares 70 employees. The inspectors question a young employee by surprise on points such as wearing a mask, lunch or the company canteen. Since October, around fifty companies have been put on formal notice. If management does not respond, the case can proceed to court.
