The rainy season is synonymous with dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF), Mother. However, in reality, dengue fever can affect anyone at any time of the year, including children.
Dengue fever is caused by the dengue virus, which is transmitted by the female Aedes mosquito. Usually, these mosquitoes bite actively from 09:00 to 10:00 in the morning and from 16:00 to 17:00.
In these moments children often play with their friends both at home and in the park. Therefore, children are more susceptible to being bitten and contracting dengue fever.
Without realizing it, it is discovered that dengue fever can cause death if not handled properly. Children will experiment shock at certain stages.
Critical phase or surveillance during DHF
The critical stage or supervision stage is the stage where the mother needs to be aware of her baby. This stage can cause shock which could lead to death.
This critical stage usually attacks children when the fever is in its third day. When you have entered this stage, it is good for mom to take your little one to the hospital immediately for further treatment.
In this stage, blood vessels that were previously completely filled and fully expanded experience a leak that causes all of its contents to leak into the tissue. This way, blood vessels don’t have oxygen to carry around the body.
“When blood vessels have no content, it is a sign that there is no oxygen that can be distributed throughout the body. This is what is called shock in the surveillance stage of dengue fever,” said pediatrician Dr. Mira Dewita, SpA You have Bunda, recently.
Symptoms of children who are experiencing a critical phase
Additionally, Mira revealed that there are several symptoms seen when a child enters a critical stage in DHF. Here is the sequence:
- Child drowned
- Less urine or no urine
- Continuous vomiting, can be more than 6 times a day
- Complaining of constant stomach pain
- BLOODY CHAPTER
- Bloody urine
- I vomit blood
