When is quarterback Drew Brees returning? • FootballR

The New Orleans Saints are wary of Drew Brees’ recovery and have no plans to reinstate him as early as week 15. This is what ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.

Brees’ status for next Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs is “questionable” at best, sources told Schefter.

There’s no clear timetable for a return for the star quarterback, who is still recovering from 11 broken ribs and collapsed lungs. The Saints want to make sure the quarterback makes a full recovery. The 41-year-old must first prove that he is able to throw without restrictions and that he has his full range of motion back.

Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles is the fourth Brees has missed since being placed on Injured Reserve.

Taysom Hill stepped in as quarterback in Brees’ absence and has a 3-0 record as a starter.

The Saints have won nine games in a row and are at the top of the NFC with a 10-2 record.
