It’s that time of year again when FIFA celebrates the brightest stars in world football at its Best Awards.

Robert Lewandowski took the best male player award at last year’s event, but there is no place on the podium for Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Man Utd striker, who won this accolade in 2016 and 2017, was included in the initial eleven-man roster when it was released last November but did not make the final cut.

When are the Fifa Best Awards?

  • The ceremony is set for TONIGHT – January 17th.
  • It will take place at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.
  • Things get going on 18:00 GMT.
  • Lewandowski is the current holder of the award, but Messi beat him last year to the seventh Ballon d’Or.

What TV channel and live stream can I watch it on?

There is no UK TV channel for this event but it will be broadcast live for the world to see.

FIFA will offer a live broadcast from 6:00 pm on its official website.
