When General Dudung Proves His Promise, Finds KKB Killing Sertu Eka and His Wife…

COMPASS — Chief of Army Staff (KSAD) General Dudung Abdurachman appreciates the joint TNI-Polri team who found the killers of the village supervisory officer from Koramil 1702/Kurulu in Papua, namely the late First Sergeant Eka Andrianto Hasugian and his wife, on March 31, 2022.

The perpetrator, who was a member of the armed criminal group (KKB) named Wabin Tabuni, was killed in a shootout with joint TNI and Polri personnel.

“The perpetrator of the sadistic murder was a member of the KST (Separate Terrorist Group),” said Head of the Information Service of the Indonesian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Tatang Subarna, in a press statement, Sunday (1/5/2022), quoted from Kompas.id.

Tatang said, Wabin is known to have committed several crimes besides murder Sertu Eka and his wife, and cut the finger of Sertu Eka’s child who is still a toddler on Jalan Trans Elelim, Elelim Village, Yalimo Regency.

“Appreciation from the Army Chief of Staff for the quick action and hard work of the joint team that succeeded in catching the perpetrators of the murder,” said Tatang.

Head of Information for Kodam XVII/Cenderawasih Lt. Col. (Kav) Herman Taryaman said, on Saturday (30/4/2022), a joint team chased the perpetrators to Dugume Village, Dugume District, Lanny Jaya Regency.

When he was about to be arrested at around 07.40 WIT, Wabin fled towards the ravine. The officers fired warning shots.

However, the officers got back fire from Wabin’s friends.

In this gunfight, Wabin was killed. His body was then taken to Wamena Hospital.

Previously, it was reported that General Dudung ordered the Commander of the XVII/Cenderawasih Regional Military Command to go after the killers of the village supervisory officer from Koramil 1702/Kurulu in Papua, First Sergeant Eka Andrianto Hasugian and his wife, who is a midwife.

Both were killed by KKB members at their home on Jalan Trans Elelim, Elelim Village, Yalimo Regency, on March 31, 2022.

Eka’s son was also abused until his finger was badly injured, but he was still able to be saved.
