Michèle Torr: her beginnings with Claude François
If Michèle Torr remembers this meeting, it is because she is watching afocus on the most beautiful images of his long careeron the occasion of the release of all of his studio albums (no less than 465 songs spread over 22 discs). A career that began in childhoodthanks to Madame Viaud, a pianist and singing teacher who spotted the voice of the very young girl. “She made me sing an Annie Cordy hit, Candies, caramels, popsicles, chocolate, for a local contest that I won. I was actually six years old.confirms the 76-year-old singer in the same interview.
The artist in the making will then cross paths with a star of the time: Claude Francois. “He chose me to play his first part. This allowed me to observe him every evening from the backstage, and to learn a lot of things“specifies Michèle Torr in the columns of SoirMag. A model that she had not left indifferent. “He was quietly engaged to France Gall and confided to me one evening that, if he had been single, he would have done everything to seduce me.”
