Many citizens wonder when winter time will be implemented and the clock will be delayed by 60 minutes, as the government decided to implement summer time in advance for six months.
Daylight saving time ends in Egypt at the beginning of the fall semester, specifically on Friday, October 29, 2023, which is the last Friday of the month.
The aim of applying winter time is that it is one of the solutions for saving energy. The idea goes back to Benjamin Franklin, the American inventor, who believed that if a person wakes up early in the summer, he can save energy.
Since 1996, all European Union countries have operated daylight saving time, and many other countries outside the European Union have used it, for various reasons, including that it is one of the solutions to saving energy by using daylight.
