From this March 26, Los Irregulares is available on Netflix, a series that revolves around a heterogeneous group of misfits investigating a series of supernatural crimes in Victorian London for him doctor Watson y Sherlock Holmes. The eight-episode fiction has just arrived on the streaming platform, but it has already been renewed for a second season.
Netflix gave the green light to the second season before the launch of the first, setting the start of production for the summer of 2021. Filming will take place in Liverpool (United Kingdom).
For now the release date is unknown, but according to Digital Spy the new episodes could arrive in mid-2022, as long as the coronavirus pandemic does not force a delay in filming. Tom Bidwell will write the script for the second and serve as producer with Greg Brenman, Jude Liknaitzky, Michael Ray and Rebecca Hodgson.
“The Irregular is a dark and mysterious eight-part drama that follows a gang of street teens with problems that are manipulated to solve crimes in the service of the sinister Dr. Watson and his mysterious partner, the elusive Sherlock Holmes. As crimes take on a hideous supernatural hue and a dark power rises, Irregulars must unite to defeat forces larger than life“, reads the official synopsis of the series.
Henry Lloyd-Hughes is in charge of giving life to Sherlock Holmes. The cast is completed by Thaddea Graham as Bea, Darci Shaw as Jessie, Jojo Macari as Billy, McKell David as Spike, Harrison Osterfield as Leopold, Clarke Peters, Sheila Atim, Mark Hugh-Williams and Royce Pierreson, among others.
