The European Championships are held every even year (every other year). The first European Championship for women was held in 1994 and the winner was Denmark, according to Wikipedia.

Norway has since dominated and has seven European Championship golds. France is the reigning champion.

Norway opens the European Championships in Denmark against Poland on Thursday 3 December. Match start is 20.30.
