The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games are a fact. Starting this Wednesday, August 28, and until Sunday, September 8, The most important multidisciplinary event for people with disabilities on the planet will be held, with the participation of 70 Argentine athletes, who will compete in 14 different disciplines, making up the second largest representation in the history of the country. There will be 11 days of competition and 22 sports will be contested in 18 different venues.
The Opening Ceremony, As happened in the recent Olympic Games held in the same venue, it will not be in a stadium: it will be held on the Place de la Concorde and the Champs-Élysées. The artistic director of the same is, as with the historic presentation on the Seine River, Thomas Jolly, who, without giving too many details, anticipated that it will be a “magnificent source of inspiration”: “While the Opening Ceremony of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will be the first of its kind, its monumental and popular concept is, for me, above all, a magnificent source of inspiration,” he said.From the Champs-Élysées to the Place de la Concorde, I hope to create this show that will transform the heart of Paris, with performances never seen before. “A show that will showcase Paralympic athletes and the values they embody,” he concluded.

The Paralympic stadium will once again be the Stade de France in Saint Dennis. All competitions will take place after the opening (i.e. from 29 September) and up to the Closing Ceremony. The sports in which participants will participate and award medals will be football for the blind (with the participation of the Murciélagos, silver in Tokyo 2020), boccia, goalball, archery, athletics, badminton, canoeing, road cycling, track cycling, equestrian sports, judo, weightlifting, rowing, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, triathlon, shooting, volleyball, basketball, fencing, rugby and tennis.
