The fortune that, since 1812, distributes the Christmas lottery traveled to a multitude of small municipalities and large cities throughout the country and in the province of Almería luck smiled on the neighbors in up to seven times. Although the probability of winning is relatively low, since as mathematics shows, buying a tenth gives you a 5% chance of winning a prize, which reduces to 0.001 when it comes to the Grand Prize, exceeding the years makes it clear that practically every corner of the country’s geography may get a good pinch from the Christmas lottery, which it did last year 2020 in up to six locations in the province where the winning tickets were sealed.
It was the case of Antas, where the number 52472 left a third prize; in Roquetas de Mar, where a fourth prize corresponding to 38341 was sold; or Roquetas de Mar, absorbs, the capital or Adra, where the fifth prize of 86986 distributed fortune. Also, last year Albox, Berja and Roquetas de Mar they also celebrated another fifth prize thanks to the numbers 19371 and 43831 respectively.
But returning to the historical data in the province of Almeria, it should be noted that of the seven occasions in which El Gordo has come directly, two have occurred in the administrations of the capital Almeria; two others in the municipality of the common and one inside Tijola as in the municipalities of Roquetas de Mar and Vicario, both in the west of the province.

Similarly, in the capital and in Vícar, tickets for the First Prize were also sold in 2018, when the winning number was 04211.
And now that a new appointment with the Lottery has arrived, many are deciding to buy in one place or another depending on its history, although as experts point out why some cities have more “fat” than others: “The answer is the volume of numbers sold in each administration and in each city. A certain number bought in a Madrid administration has the same probability of going out as another bought in any other place, but the set of all numbers sold in Madrid, or any administration that sells a lot, is more likely to win”.
