The frontman of rock band Bon Jovi was filmed helping a woman who was about to jump off a bridge in Nashville, USA. The scene took place on Tuesday, September 10, while Jon Bon Jovi was filming a music video.
In the CCTV footage, the singer, followed by his production team, can be seen approaching a woman who had crossed over to the other side of the bridge’s security barrier.
The singer first stops a few meters away from the latter and then seems to be talking to her. Another woman, who has remained anonymous, approaches at the same time, and begins to comfort the woman by putting her hand on her back.
The two then helped the woman to safety by crossing back to the other side of the barrier, before accompanying her off the bridge. According to American media, the rescued woman was later taken to hospital.
Congratulated by the police
The footage was released by Nashville police, who congratulated the singer in a social media post. “Bon Jovi helped persuade her to climb down from the ledge over the Cumberland River to safety,” the police account wrote on Facebook. While the video shared by police is no longer active on YouTube, many media outlets have shared it, including ici.
