How did the protagonists of the quarters classify?

The German team beat PSV 2-0 in the round of 16 second leg and qualified for the quarterfinals. They had won the “group of death” of the group stage, over PSG, Milan and Newcastle.
In a very emotional round of 16 series, Atlético eliminated the last runner-up Inter and qualified for the quarterfinals on penalties. In the group stage, they had finished in first place in their area against Lazio, Feyenoord and Celtic.
